In June 2005, the Joint Committee on Access to Mental Health Services was authorized (Chapter 318, Acts of 2005).
The Committee monitored the access to mental health services for individuals eligible for those public services, and for individuals with private health insurance. Also, the Committee identified systemic barriers to mental health care, and recommended ways to remove such barriers, and improve access to mental health services.
In June 2014, the Committee was abolished (Chapter 464, Acts of 2014).
