RUGBY

Rugby has a strong following in Maryland. Played by all age groups, youth through seniors, men and women, most rugby matches are organized through clubs affiliated with the Potomac Rugby Union.

USA RUGBY

Founded in 1975, USA Rugby is the national organization responsible for overseeing amateur rugby teams in the United States. USA Rugby also assembles and trains the USA Eagles, the U.S. National Rugby Team. Organized into seven divisions known as territorial unions, USA Rugby places Maryland within the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union.

MID-ATLANTIC RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION
The Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union (MARFU) is a territorial union within USA Rugby. It oversees teams located in Maryland, Virginia, eastern Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. The Union is comprised of teams for youths through adults, including high school and college teams, and is divided into three local area unions. Maryland rugby teams are organized under the Potomac Rugby Union.

*U9 = under age 9; U11 = under age 11; U13 = under age 13; U15 = under age 15; U19 = under age 19.
